Gregg & Associates was founded in 1989 by Ronald A. Gregg. Throughout the years, Gregg & Associates has represented clients in criminal and civil matters, medical malpractice, civil rights, and entertainment law. Our lawyers practice in state and federal court.
In addition, the firm’s production and management company, Townsend Management, has branched out with a subsidiary company called Barrister Records, which represents gospel, jazz, and pop artists.
Ronald A. Gregg
Senior Partner/ Retired Administrative Judge
Ronald founded Gregg & Associates in 1989.
Ronald has had a long and accomplished career in law enforcement, beginning as a New York City Police Officer. Instead of becoming a police artist as he originally planned, he found himself “walking the beat” for 12 years and attended law school where he received his Juris Doctorate from New York Law School.
Ronald has served as Trial Commissioner and later Assistant Commissioner for the New York City Department of Correction, a New York State Treasury Agent, and most recently as a Senior Administrative Law Judge for the New York State Division of Human Rights, which enforces the state’s human rights laws. Ronald retired as a New York State judge in 2007.
In addition to managing one of Staten Island’s only minority-owned law firms and serving as pro bono counsel to several Island houses of worship, Ronald is President of the Richmond County Black and Minority Chamber of Commerce.

Celestyn Williams
Of Counsel
Larry Simon
(Deceased)
Larry Simon served Staten Islanders more for than a decade, first as an Assistant District Attorney and later at Gregg & Associates. We are confident that he would still be proudly serving the profession that he loved if he had not been tragically killed in a hit and run accident at age 41. Much of Gregg & Associates’s success can be linked to Larry’s committed and tenacious representation of our clients, which we unceasingly continue in his memory.
